boop! caps artisan keycaps

Boop! caps came about in early 2015 when booper was working on the Deep Space keyset design. She was heavily engrossed in the Geekhack DIY community and quickly grew to love the Artisan scene. Inspired by the creations of those that came before, Boop decided to try sculpting a little astronaut keycap to go with the set she was designing. In the spirit of the Making Things Together community, she documented and shared her progress on GeekHack.

Early Boops

After making the cosmo, boop realized she really enjoyed the experience of sculpting and casting! She drew from her interests and made sculpts of a monkey, ewok, a shark, elephant, a dreanei… not all of which made it to resin! Over the year 2015 booper was fueled by the newfound hobby and bought a pressure pot to improve her quality and have her first sale!

Common and Current Boops

As much as she would love to keep up with more her sculpts, it feels nearly impossible to do so! The keycaps that have been updated to version 2 and still are sold are the Keywok, Amelia the Flying Squirrel, The Colonel of the Long Patrol Hares, Cosmonaut the Astro Dude, and sometimes Super Sage Zombie Kitty comes out around Halloween.
